Irish Open Championships
The Ski Club of Ireland Ski Championships one of the most popular race events on the circuit is happening on the first weekend in October 2019. The Ski Club of Ireland International Slalom will take place on Saturday 5th October, encompassing the International Teams Parallel Slalom. The Irish Open Slalom Championships takes place on Sunday 6th October.
It promises to be a great event with over 100 entries and we expect to see some very worthy winners on both days.
Competition Format
The competition will be run under FIS rules and the draw and running order will be determined by the latest oBARTS seed list 2019.6. There is no seedpoint cut off for these championships. U10 and U12 categories are unseeded.
The format for both the International Slalom and Irish Open Slalom consists of 1 run over 2 courses with combined times counting. The U10/12 categories will race through stubbies with 2 runs per course setting and the best time from each one counting.
The International Dual Slalom is a relay race with teams consisting of 4 male and 2 female members from participating nations. This is a great fun knock-out event with national pride at stake!

Prize Categories
Championship Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female in the following categories: U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U21, Seniors, Masters and Vets and there will also be a free event T-shirt for everyone who enters the Irish Open Championship on Sunday 6th.
Dual Slalom prizes will be awarded to national teams for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Competition Entry
Entry is by way of the official entry form and must be accompanied by the entry fee payable. The entry fee is €60 which covers entry to the competition on both days, lift cost for Friday night practice and weaken refreshments. Single event entry is €30
